b) Functional and performance cookies
c) Marketing cookies

a) Essential cookies Essential cookies
ensure functions without which you cannot use our website as intended. These cookies are used exclusively by us and are therefore first party cookies. This means that all information stored in the cookies is returned to our website.

Essential cookies are used, for example, to ensure that you, as a registered user, always remain logged in when accessing various subpages of our website and thus do not have to re-enter your login data every time you visit a new page.

The use of strictly necessary cookies on our website is possible without your consent. For this reason, essential cookies cannot be deactivated or activated individually.

These cookies only collect and store anonymized information so that they cannot track your behavior on other websites.
Performance cookies collect information about how our website is used in order to improve its attractiveness, content and functionality. These cookies help us, for example, to determine whether and which subpages of our website are visited and which content users are particularly interested in. In particular, we record the number of hits to a page, the number of subpages accessed, the time spent on our website, the order of the pages visited, which search terms led you to us, the country, the region and, if applicable, the city from which the access is made, as well as the proportion of mobile devices that access our websites. aa) Google Analytics and Google Optimize
This website uses Google Analytics and Google Optimize, web analysis services of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google").

Google Analytics and Google Optimize use performance cookies, which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The Information generated by the Cookie about Your use of this Website Is Usually transmitted to a Google Server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address to a server of Google in the USA is transferred and cut there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

We also use the technical extension "Google Signals", which enables cross-device tracking. This allows an assignment of a single website visitor with different end devices to be established. However, this only happens if the visitor has logged into a Google service during the website visits and at the same time has activated the option "personalized advertising" in his Google account settings. We use Google Signals with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of users within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area is shortened. This reduction eliminates the personal reference; we can therefore not draw any conclusions about the identity of an individual user, but only receive anonymous statistical evaluations.
If you do not wish to use "Google Signals", you can deactivate the option "personalized advertising" in your Google Account settings.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics and Google Optimize will not be merged with other Google data.

In Google Analytics, we also partly use the functions for reports on demographic characteristics and interests. These reports include information about your age, gender and interests; the underlying data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third-party providers. This enables us – without being able to assign this data to individual persons – to make a better picture of our users and to be able to display interest-based advertising. For more information about the advertising features of Google Analytics, please visit https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3450482?hl=de_AT&utm_id=ad. You can deactivate personalized advertising at any time under https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated or make individual settings.

We use Google Analytics and Google Optimize to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. Through the Statistics obtained, we can improve our Offer and design it for You as a User * in more interesting way. In exceptional cases, personal data will be transferred to the USA. There is a risk that your data will not be protected by US companies in the same way as in the European Union.

c) Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies come from external advertising companies (third party cookies) and are used to collect information about the websites visited by users, to create targeted advertising for users and to display advertisements adapted to their interests. They are also used to limit the frequency of an ad's appearance and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. This information may be shared with third parties, such as advertisers.

aa) Google Ads Conversion (formerly Google Adwords)
We use the offer of Google Ads Conversion of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as "Google") in order to draw attention to our products with the help of advertising media (so-called Google Ads) on external websites. The use of Google Ads Conversion enables us to determine how successful the individual advertising measure is. We thus pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is of interest to you in order to make our website more interesting for you.

These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers". For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, through which certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users, can be measured. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your device. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. For this cookie, the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wants to be addressed) are usually stored as analysis values.

These cookies allow Google to recognize your Internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and customers can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of advertising material, in particular we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: By integrating Ads Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address.

We would like to point out that this cookie has a storage period of 30 days.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent in accordance with Article 49 (1) (a) GDPR or 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the use of third-party cookies at any time for the future. The link to the cookie settings can be found here.

bb) Google Ads Remarketing
In addition, we use the remarketing function within the Google Ads service.

With the remarketing function, we can present users of our websites with advertisements based on their interests on other websites within the Google advertising network (i.e. on Google itself, so-called "Google Ads" or on other websites). For this purpose, the interaction of the users on our website is analyzed, in particular which offers the user has been interested in, in order to be able to display targeted advertising to the users on other pages even after visiting our website. For this purpose, Google Marketing stores cookies in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google Display Network. This cookie records the visits of these users. This number is used to uniquely identify a web browser on a specific computer and not to identify a person, personal data is not stored.

Doubleclick by Google is used to present you with advertisements that are relevant to you. You can see these ads on our website and on the websites of other providers who also work with Google.

Our website stores a cookie with a pseudonymous identification number (ID) in your browser for Google. Google uses this cookie ID to recognize your browser when you visit our website (or other websites whose providers also use Doubleclick by Google). In this way, Google tries to collect the following information:

• Which web pages have you visited?
• Which ads from Google were displayed to you?
• Which of these ads did you click on?

Based on this information, Google selects the ads that Google presents to you. You can manage the display of such advertising by Google here. Further information on advertising by Google can be found here. Further information on data protection at Google can be found here.

There is currently no decision by the EU Commission that the US generally offers an adequate level of protection. There is a risk that your data will not be protected by US companies in the same way as in the European Union.

Furthermore, Facebook pixel enables us to play you individualized advertising messages ("retargeting") at the moment or in the future based on your interest in our service. If you have a Facebook profile and log in there, you can be presented with targeted individualized advertising for our products based on the data transmitted by the pixels. Data of users who do not have a Facebook profile will be discarded unused by Facebook. Iv. Use of social media plug-ins
We use various social media plug-ins. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can see the provider of the plug-in by marking it on the box above its initial letter or logo. We offer you the opportunity to communicate directly with the provider of the plug-in via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online offer. In addition, the data referred to in section I.3.2 will be transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the respective providers in Germany, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection. The data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there.
